Mt Kaputar

This was the second activation for the day making it a long drive from Manilla township. Using dirt roads on the way home to cut down the distance, guessing about 2 1/2 hours from Manilla and 7 hour from Albion Park.
The drive to Mt Kaputar is very spectactular as the mountain is 1520 metres high with large rock faces.

Once you reach Mt Kaputar National Park the road turn to dirt, very narrow and winds around the mountain. There is camping on the mountain if desired with walking tracks and lookouts all the way to the top. The road takes you to the top of Mt Kaputar summit.

There is a wooden stairwell to the summit trig.

Photo’s from the summit really don’t do the mountain justice.
